About the Owner

Laureena (Shane) Moody is a senior cosmetologist/instructor and owner of Essentially Shane's Beauty Salon with over 20 years of industry experience. Shane continues to perfect her craft by offering you the latest in hair trends, cuts, colors, and styles. She specializes in natural and chemically-treated hair of all types.

Shane has owned and operated her salon for more than 20 years in the Bolton Hill Area in Baltimore, Maryland, and currently in the state of Delaware. It doesn't stop there, though. Shane is an instructional hairstylist who takes pride in her work and in helping her clients to understand their hair needs by giving tips on how to maintain and grow healthy hair. She also specializes in the care of thinning hair and much more.
